Although concrete is known to be able to form one of the most durable surfaces on earth it can still struggle at times. Knowing the right company though that will be able to help you repair any type of concrete structure could go a long way for you. Our repairs can be as simple as sealing a couple of cracks to make sure that the surface remains as even as can be and does not continue to separate. They can also be quite extensive. At times we are going to have to come in and break through the concrete slab to make repairs in the original surface to keep the slab just right.
There are actually different ways that we can go about repairing these minor issues. The more common way to repair these problems would be to come in and just use a seal product and put it over the crack. All we would have to do then is just make sure that we are able to even the ground out correctly and wait for everything to dry out. If you want to take it to the next step we could actually seal the cracks and then add stain or another layer of self-leveling concrete to try and keep everything as compact as possible.
Sometimes You Are Going To Need To Move On
This is not something that happens often, but if you have a concrete structure that is a bit old and broken down it may not even be worth to try and fix it. A lot of times what we will recommend is that you allow us to remove most of the concrete that is there and literally start over. Again, this is not something that is common neither is it something that we are going to want to push you to. We just want to make sure you know that it is a pretty viable option on certain occasions.
We already talked about this a little bit, but we really wanted to take the opportunity to expand on it because we believe that it is important for you to realize something. We can’t come in with a stubborn mindset and say we are just going to seal some of the cracks. When we get there we may realize that the problem is a bit more extensive, but we are just going to do what we were hired for. We can’t do that. So what we do is we show up and we provide an assessment of the situation. Based on that we will layout your options for you and we will proceed how we both decide is best
Complete Slab Replacement
There are going to be times where the problem is actually going to be under the concrete. So what we are going to need to do remove at least that part of the concrete slab and make sure we can even out the original surface. From there, we will layout new concrete and hopefully, fix the issue for years to come.
